Ladies & Gentleman Studio

Jean Lee, co-founder of Ladies & Gentlemen Studio is one of the main organizers of Furnishing Utopia and curator of PUBLIC ACCESS.  Ladies & Gentlemen Studio is a multi-faceted, bi-coastal design studio focused on creating a diverse set of design products from lighting, to furniture, to collaborations, community-based exhibitions and beyond. Head Hi

Head Hi is an organization dedicated to art and design specializing in publications and cultural programming with an espresso bar located in Fort Greene, by the Brooklyn by the Navy Yard. Since 2018, they feature a curated selection of publications from around the globe. Working with local and international artists, designers, publishers, community members and organizations in various fields, Head Hi is a space for exploration and interaction that hosts talks, book launches, exhibitions, music and other events and was co-founded by Alvaro Alcocer and Alexandra Hodkowski.

Brooklyn Greenway Initiative / Naval Cemetery Landscape

Brooklyn Greenway Initiative built the Naval Cemetery Landscape on the site of the former Naval Hospital Cemetery at the Brooklyn Navy Yard as a place for retreat and remembrance while honoring its rich layers of natural and cultural history. This site was designed as a native plant meadow and pollinator habitat, and provides visitors with an escape from urban life.

Norwegian Consulate General New York

The oldest and largest of Norway’s consulates in the United States, the Consulate in New York works to promote Norwegian Culture (contemporary art, crafts, design, architecture, performing arts, literature, music and film) and Norwegian Businesses in New York. The Consulate supports the arts and culture arena in New York through visitor programs for press, curators and presenters within a wide range of cultural fields, in addition to facilitating for and providing financial support to projects taking place in the city.

Vestre Habitats

Vestre is a Norwegian manufacturer of urban furniture. For more than 75 years, the forward-practice company has helped create social meeting places for millions of people. Vestre launched Vestre Habitats in 2019 with a series of furniture that contributes to both rapid, positive development and in the long-term creating a better urban environment for people and nature. They believe in operating beyond looking at the bottom line. Instead, Vestre has embedded sustainable practice in all parts of their operations by building a zero-carbon footprint manufacturing facility outside of Oslo, Norway built by the distinguished architecture firm Bjarke Ingels.
